The big revelation: Sarah used scarves to conceal the pregnancy.

1. Well, they're still obsessing about the Palin family baby and pregnancies here.
Why not move on to something with actual substance because there is plenty of it to be found?

3. It at least mentions the asinine flight back to Alaska.
But it also mentions her "obstetrician", which is incorrect. Trig was delivered by a family physician.

6. Even then they found some doctor who thought it was not
a problem. Also the article claimed she was not in labor, even though it was reported she was having contractions.
44 year old woman having down syndrome baby, leaking amniotic fluid, gets on the plane-and it's all good.

4. Ain't it touching?
Maybe women don't need maternity leaves after all. Have your baby, march to work the next day, hide it under the table.

5. Predictions anyone?
Pissed off Alaskans threaten to recall?

Loads of talk about how ethical it is to hide a pregnancy from family, or how normal that is?

I would love to hear what else she deems worthy of hiding from the public for their own good?

round two.

15. Because women, and fundie women in particular, NEVER want anyone to know that they are pregnant
Edited on Sun Sep-07-08 10:48 PM by mitchum
Wait a minute...come to think of it, I am wrong...the only women who do try to hide their pregnancies are...unmarried teenagers.
Hmmm...how about that?

edit: typo

8. The media is courting McCain and Plain...
Edited on Sun Sep-07-08 10:35 PM by TwoSparkles
I'm about ready to explode.

Last week, John McCain threw a hissy fit, and was being an obnoxious, inaccessible ass.

The only reporter brave enough to reveal how McCain was acting, was Jay Carney, the
DC Bureau Chief for "Time" Magazine. On MSNBC, I saw Carney describe McCain as, "something
out of the body snatchers." McCain was a complete and total jerk to Carney, dismissing his
questions and telling him to get the answers by "reading my book."

It appears that McCain's temper tantrum has worked. In the NY Times article, which reports Olbermann and
Matthews being dumped from the anchor desk--it is reported that McCain complained
to MSNBC bosses and higher ups about unfair coverage.

No doubt, McCain has been complaining and whining to everyone.

What we are seeing here--with this NY Times article and the actions of MSNBC--is the media
kissing John McCain's ass. They want in his good graces. They want accessibility.

This is exactly what Bush did!!!

You know what is so sad...Palin gave McCain some renewed popularity, so the media believes McCain
might have a good chance at the Presidency now. They're not going to shoot themselves in the foot.
They want McCain to like them, so when he becomes President--they'll get great interviews and greater
accessibility.

This totally frickin sucks. Pardon me, but I'm totally beside myself. That NYTimes article was nothing
but spin and lies. There are so many unanswered questions surrounding Palin's pregnancy, and her
daughter Bristol missing from school, etc. This article was an attempt to fill in the blanks with the
story that McCain and Palin out there. This was a complete PR job. Everyone should be disgusted.

I guess we'd better get used to it. All of the major media will be clamoring to be bestest friends
with John McCain and Sarah Palin.

It's going to get really bad.

because she covered it with scarfs. Dah.
Of course Bristol couldn't cover it up with a blanket and baby Trig combined.

17. I share your pain, and I also think our side needs to do something about it
Until we start advancing our own frames, Sarah's good for the media business, commercially and politically, so they ain't gonna lift a finger.

Our side needs to do an ideology dump on her this week and at least make the media start talking about the creepy stuff: creationism, no rape/incest loophole on abortion, no stem cell research, no proof on man-made climate change and wars being divinely inspired by God. She is the fundy's fundy, and she the only thing propping up McCain right now. Ask John how he feels abouyt all these things, since his potential successor believes in them. Let's get on it, fer chrissakes.

10. I'm sick of hearing about her.
We need more about McShame, less about his insignificant running mate. Her record is out there. Her bungled administrative record is exposed to the extent it can be. It's time to put the spotlight back on the nincompoop who selected her as his running mate.
