Does anyone think McCain has PTSD?

Just curious...

PTSD is a disorder, a mental injury, which messes with your perception of reality. PTSD sufferers often have a hot, hair-trigger temper, especially when someone brings up a subject which resembles a past emotional trauma. Some of the symptoms of this particular mental injury include: flashbacks, when the person relives the event which wounded his or her mind (they actually forget about the here and now and literally live in the past); nightmares; trouble sleeping (need sleeping pills to get shuteye); avoidance of anything that remotely resembles the past traumatic event; and emotional instability, among others. Left untreated, the disorder affects a person's rational thinking; they use their wounded emotions instead of their rational minds to make decisions.

So, McLame, due to his apparently untreated (or inadequately treated) PTSD, is not psychologically fit to serve in the allegedly most powerful office on Earth.

ETA: It's in his biography that the sound of jangling keys reminds him of his captors and sets his PTSD off.

You either process the trauma and walk through the pain--or you continue your life
with the trauma still inside your head--effectively imprisoning you.

I have PTSD, due to childhood stuff. I don't take it lightly when I hear that McCain
has anger issues and rage that seems to be close to the surface for him. I remember
what repressed rage feels like. It took me months of intense therapy to process it.
It's very powerful, and until you let it go--you're ruled by your past.

The man is an emotional disaster area for so many reasons.

The fact that he wants more and more war--when his initial trauma is war-centered--should
scare the living shit out of everyone in this country.

BTW, his wiki at one point said he had a bad temper, even as a young child. I don't know who besides his mom or him could have put that comment into his wiki, but it shows that the source of his temper is irrelevant. Point is, however he got it, he seems to have a bad one that he does not always control. That's enough.

Even after all this time one can still have PTSD. My ex has it from his chopper being shot down in Vietnam and he was not captured. It has been only recently diagnosed. So, YES.

Still not able to deal with reality, and having to hug comforting lies in order to avoid thinking about how it has screwed up.
