Ross Perot played spoiler. Had it not been for Ross Perot it would have been even closer than that. My point is the polls don't matter. Turn out does AND the counting of the votes. I think Obama still has this thing okay. In fact please remember that Michael Dukakis was up by 17 points in "the polls" and it didn't mean shit. Turn out mattered.

We have always had to work as if Obama was down 30 points with 3 days to go. We can't get cocky even if Obama surges to a 30 point lead 2 weeks before the election. Being down means NOTHING and be up really means nothing. The only data that is going to matter will be November 4th. Stop letting these polls make you happy or sad. Just work hard,Obama will have to work hard and all we can really be is one voice one vote and hope that trickles into people in the voting booth come election day.
