this was one of the criticisms of Kerry back then. so based on that McCain should lose easily.

since everyone wants to compare to 2004, 2000 etc.

why can't people just get behind the candidate and support them ?

1. so based on that McCain should lose easily
The GOP never values military service, so they had no qualms sliming Kerry with lies about his service, and thats what hurt him.

Unfortunately, our party DOES value military service, so McCain's checkered military career is off limits.

I do wish the Obama campaign (and any surrogates they use) would stop with their usual "McCain was a hero..." phrase used by all of them just before they try to make a point of how illogical McCain's campaign positions are, as it weakens the impact of the points they are trying to make.

2. Vanessa should have told a hockey dad story
and gotten pregnant, instead of reminding people how out of touch they were by being in medical school and all.

3. elitist
but that's an ice sport and would have just reinforced the Kerry is elitist stuff.

(this election is really showing how Democrats cower at any right wing attack. they are now demanding Obama and Biden change who they are rather than embracing what they have to offer and talk it up as how it would be best for the country. )
