Barack Obama Gives Bill O'Reilly His Second Highest Ratings Ever
Barack Obama gives O'Reilly a ratings bump
'O'Reilly Factor' sees second-highest numbers ever

By Paul J. Gough
Sept 5, 2008, 06:46 PM ET

NEW YORK -- Bill O'Reilly's interview with Sen. Barack Obama on Thursday brought "The O'Reilly Factor" the second-highest ratings in its history.

"The O'Reilly Factor" averaged 6.6 million viewers Thursday night, Nielsen Media Research said Friday. It was surpassed in the ratings only by the March 19, 2003, "O'Reilly Factor" that led into President Bush's nationally televised speech about the beginning of the Iraq War.

After months of avoiding Fox News Channel, Obama entered the "no-spin zone" Thursday afternoon, doing a sitdown with O'Reilly during a campaign stop in York, Pa. It coincided with the last night of the Republican National Convention, where a few hours later John McCain accepted the GOP nomination for the presidency. O'Reilly will have more excerpts from the interview Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

2. THAT is EXACTLY why I did not agree with his going on that disgusting moron's show...
Why give the Loofah man any thing to brag about...?

so what if Obama broke his word to go on that show. That should be the least of his worries during this campaign.

Murdoch will follow the money, if there is more money being liberal he will lean that way.

Obama had a meeting with Murdoch before he agreed to the interview, I'm sure promises were made to Obama at that time

11. Agree, why should our side help them with their ratings
it sure isn't like we can get any of his followers to "see the light" and come over to our side.

8. He had to say the surge worked
Most Americans believe it did, he took ammo away from the rethugs by saying it worked
