2. well, we are a nation of whiners, you know?
According to the Gramm ol' Party.

But yeah they are. Obama looks better in the EC, plus we have been beating them in Voter Reg and we'll beat them in turnout, just like we did when the primaries were both being contested.

12. Just like we did in 2004.
My wife says if they cheat us out of it again this time she doesn't see any reason to cast a vote any more.

10. The polls are in a state of flux, they should not be per se pooh-pooh'd...
They should be heeded for what they are...as having been derived from a diluted survey pool. It is time to get busier no doubt  We here "DU polls" all the time, other polls are no different period, there may be no polling data upon which to take solace as a result welcome to America 2008

The "polls" are bullshit.

I can't believe how many people here, who constantly talk about how the MSM can't be believed about anything, turn around and tout their "poll" results as though it were gospel.

Obama draws record crowds - McCain has to have people bussed-in from neighbouring areas to make his events look 'populated' for the cameras. And YET we are supposed to believe the two are "neck and neck".

15. You got it right. I do not believe any polls. It all depends who participated and where the poll is
taken.

I may not like the attacks because of where they go but I still will say you guys were amazing the intensity attacks. No one will take that away.

18. The polls are being scammed to keep the Presidential Election at the top of the news cycle
This is in the game plan for the Main Stream Media. The MSM is playing the voting public like a fiddle here.
They keep the polls showing the election as being close in order to keep viewership high. If the election was an Obama blow out, no body would watch the news. If Obama is shown correctly at +10%, all the Republicans would just turn off their televisions. If the MSM has no viewers, the don't sell advertising time.

I expect to see several lead changes, When some big story like a hurricane or a bank failure comes up, watch for a big change in the polls. The MSM is working hard to keep this election at the top of the news cycle.

22. typical post convention bump. Obama got one too, but because the GOP convention began
right away after ours it was very short lived. My hope is that this one will be too.
