When will RICH Republicans "get it?"
What I don't understand is that rich Republican CEOs, CFOs, Chairman's of Boards, etc. just don't understand that in order to become richer the economy has to get better. Yes, yes I know rich is rich. But not these people. They want more.

Look at this, when the economy is good and people are working the stock market goes up. Really the only people that are helped en masse when the market goes up are those rich Republicans. When the jobs go away (like last week's report) the market goes into the shitter. Then the rich people lose millions. It is counter productive.

We always say on DU that the working people vote against their own best interests. Well I think the wealthy Republicans also vote against their own best monetary interests. There was even another article in the NYT last week that shows how Wall Street performs better when the Dems are in office. It really is the economy stupid.

3. As long as they're still getting fat salaries, tax breaks, benefits & stock-options

Lobbying power to set policy, corporate welfare, corporate "personhood", bailouts, immunity from prosecution, etc...

everything's honkey-dory to them.

Now they make their money in gold, commodities and hedge funds - and they have the gubment's help in manipulating those markets.

4. They don't care about things that don't touch them personally, I canvassed
in those areas. They will point blank say it's about taxes-period.
