the Gallup Poll has a tendency to report the "enthusiasm" of the moment; he suggested that things are more stable and he said to be patient and wait for the "NBC/Wall Street Journal" poll on Wednesday for a more accurate read of the campaign.

10. he was referring to the Gallup poll showing McCain ahead, said that poll is
'sort of like an EKG' of enthusiasm level, and that we should wait for the NBC/WSJ poll on Wednesday.

14. Welcome to DU! Todd says ignore the polls until one that comes out Tue or Wed.
The current polls aren't known for accuracy and kind of follow the latest flavor. By mid week it may be clear where polls have settled after the conventions.
