Why is anyone watching MSNBC?

Boycott MSNBC. It would be one thing if they had replaced Olbermann and Matthews as anchors IF they replaced them with a non partisan. But David Gregory is a Republican hack. So TURN IT OFF and let their numbers plummet.

Of course, you can turn it on for Countdown.

1. Question:
Where in the hell is it a good place anymore to tune to for news?

7. My question too.
The news has been cancelled.

Whenever I do tune in to BBC or Canada I just get more furious that we aren't getting those stories here.

30. I've been slowing down my viewership of MSNBC
And I'm taking your advice on C-SPAN. Except for Countdown, Rachel's new show and very occasionally Tweety if there is someone I like on it, that's it for me.

All of the MSM/cable news channels are on McCain's campaign payroll. Bleeech!

17. while it's not 24 hour cable news, I have been watching
CBS and BBC. After a steady diet of ABC and NBC, CBS seems more willing to cover stories that are critical of the administration and the GOP. I like Jeff Greenfield, who used to be a speechwriter for Bobby Kennedy. Bob Schieffer--he's okay but not as insightful as Jeff. They have Joe Trippi on stafff, too.
ABC is the worst--they will sugar coat Bush and look the other way when something blows up in his face. And NBC is sometimes good--they covered Katrina thoroughly, but it's is not as hard-hitting as I'd like.

Recently CBS reported stories recently about McCain and Palin's claims-- and then immediately debunked them, right on the evening news. That's the kind of stuff I like to see.

The BBC has a nice perspective also. I liked Matt Frei's very smart take on the conventions, and Katty Kay is good too. I watch the BBC America channel's hour-long version, and it's always colorful, interesting and international. They are not all politics all the time, but you do get some nice stories.

To each his/her own, but this is what I'm watching these days. I've traditionally been a PBS viewer, but Newshour does get very dry. I like Keith Olbermann too, and have been with Rachael Maddow since she got her first Air America job in the morning back in 2005 I think it was. But I want to hear more than just red meat for the Left.

I hope everyone will see that watching CNN or MSNBC exclusively is as bad as someone who will watch nothing but FOX. You have to get more perspective than that--you need a well rounded diet. Cable News 24/7 is like eating junk food all day. Go back to the networks and see what you are missing.

2. Balony.
The decision to move KO and CM was made by NBC. Watching shows like Countdown and Hardball allows one to listen to the messages that NBC wants to silence.

11. Boycott the ONLY network that even allows liberal thought? Why?
KO wanted to be out of the debate hot-seat. It allows him to be more...Keithy. I think it's a good move, because otherwise the focus would be on Keith and the MSNBC Eastern Media Elite.

12. A "boycott" of KO and CM
is exactly what the republican party wants. It is a shallow response for democrats to advocate.

14. Olbermann is revolutionizing talk shows
This is one small step to taking on Rush Limbaugh and his siblings on the radio. To break the establishment on this it takes time. One small set back is not going to mean the end of Olbermann. Rachel Maddow starts today and that is going to catapult MSNBC ratings. By the next election they will realize the real vale of Olbermann, Matthews and now Maddow.

20. A few years ago everyone here was praising David Gregory.
He was taking it to the Bush administration in the daily presser and people here were falling all over themselves about him. Women thought he was cute and wanted to have his babies, etc. Now he's a partisan hack. It's just funny to see the turnabout.

My opinion is that he tries, but he's just not bright enough for his job.

I think we should keep sending emails to all news organizations calling bullshit on their bias. The fascists do it why shouldn't we.

Hope others will continue supporting Olberman and Maddow.

Just let the station know if you were watching Chris and Keith anchoring election coverage and now will go elsewhere for that because you dislike the biased reporting of David Gregory.
