People want Palin Glasses...OBAMA needs to GET a News Cycle

........NOW

Sarah Palin's glasses are style hit

Style conscious voters in the US are racing to get their hands on a pair of Sarah Palin's signature rimless glasses.

Opticians in the States have seen an influx in demand for Palin's specs, which she wore during her convention speech last week.

The $375 frames are by Japanese designer Kazuo Kawasaki, and are made from titanium. They are from a collection entitled the 704 series, and her specific style is the 34 grey.

So the BUZZ is that women want to look like Sarah.....they want to dress like her as well....in the mean time America is going to HELL and could care less about issues as long as they can look like Sarah..

In other NEWS......

OBAMA NEEDS to get back on top of the NEWS CYCLE by this TUESDAY....McSame/Palin has dominated it now for 11 days in a row with the selection of McFalin........WE NEED TO GRAB IT BACK TODAY.....it is time for us to talk about issues that matter and not about baby conspiracy theory's or Sarahs wardrobe.

The time is now....

9. Great way to completely misinterpret the post
You know damn well that's not what he's saying.

14. No shit. I know exactly what he's saying.
But, this idea that criticizing the campaign for not doing more is somehow wrong really pisses me off. We're all trying to reach the same conclusion, and we all don't agree on how to get there. That doesn't mean that someone needs to be a dick in their responses.

15. Well no, you went past that
Because you claimed that Richardo was saying we don't need to work for the Obama campaign, that he will do it all himself. That's not even close to what the post was about. You said it, you own it.

16. I said. I own it. And I'll say it again.
As a matter of fact, I take back what I said earlier. Richardo's post was saying exactly what I claimed. Obama does need our help, and he does need our criticism. And, Obama would agree with me. Richardo apparantely thinks that we should just stick our heads in the sand and let Obama take care of it without our help. That's the way I see it cause that's what he posted.

18. Alright then, we'll have to wait for him to weigh in.
Because what I see it is about is saying that we don't need to run around fearing the sky is falling - and that's it.

21. OK here's the thing - DU is a lot like sports-talk radio...
Edited on Mon Sep-08-08 10:28 AM by Richardo
...in which a bunch of amateurs are heavily invested in the masturbatory fantasy that they can tell highly-skilled, experienced professionals how to do their jobs.

These amateurs typically spend their 120 seconds on the air knee-jerking to whatever the score of the latest game was, while the coaches, front office, players and support personnel spend hundreds of hours analyzing strategy and tactics.

Do some of these professionals suck? Hey, I'm a Pirates fan, so 'yes'. But they still know more about the team than I or any outsider ever will.

So my point: Obama and his team have defied all odds to become the Democratic candidate for President. On the way, they encountered withering fire from right and left and prevailed. I'm confident that the team is competent enough to counter the Palin gambit with a lot more skill than focusing on the glasses demographic.

Hence my post.

Does Obama need our help? Absolutely. For my part, that entails whatever modest sums I can afford to donate, plus serving as a Dem polling judge on election day.

I just don't think he needs our advice.

20. Richardo said nothing of the kind.
Where does it say in that post to "no need to work for the campaign"?

It says to stop acting scared to death and stop panicking. Which does NOT translate to "no need to campaign".

so bad. I mean at this point, what can you do? McCain has openly supported one of - if not THE - worst presidencies in history and yet people are still supporting him. In droves. You can't fight pure ignorance.

O' Canada... Let me in!

11. Me either. Mine are virtually useless because my Rx has changed
I went to the closeout store and bought a pair of reading glasses. Not good for distance but between paying $1000/mo for health insurance and rising food costs, etc., that's the best I can do right now. Now I just gotta figure out how to drill a cavity in my tooth.

Welcome to McSame's America. :puke:

10. Goodness, where to start.
People actually WANT to look like Sarah Palin? Alrighty, then. Anyway, I remember that barely a month ago, the GOP was slamming Obama for being a celebrity. Talk about selling your birthright for a mess of black pottage.

17. So what? Obama merchandise sells like crazy, people faint at his rallies,
and he's got people changing their middle names to Hussein in his defense.

Trust me--we've been cooler for longer.

19. And how many meals could Sarah have bought for the poor with that expenditure?
Oh, that's right. Style over substance. Fuck the religious part if it gets in the way of designer frames.
