It maybe time to take a "media free day"
Occasionally this is good for everyone. Today and tomorrow, the republicans have gotten their post convention bounce, and there will be all the second guessing etc, that will drive a person batty sometimes.

And in case anyone forgot, it happened to the republicans after our convention. Even though they tried to step on it with the Palin announcement, we got a big bounce. It is part of the process.

But as we all have become all too well acquainted with, the media has become a 24 hour feeding frenzy on anything to keep its people talking. This should feed them for a good 24 or 48 hours.

Then the news from Alaska will start to settle back in, and things will normalize on the Palin front. Obama will be running against McCain/Bush and we will start ticking back those points and taking it to the day of the election.

So with that (_)O(_)O(_)O(_)O(_)O(_)O chamomile tea for everyone. This time next week, it will be a different picture.

3. Your kidding. g4peace
Now I was thinking of taking a media free week, but if cheney is getting hauled up on charges I might have to give that a little reconsideration.

Think I will just check in here after work and look for that story. Now that makes me a happy camper

2. I totally agree!
I had decided last night that I would keep my tv off for the next few days. I refuse to listen to the republicans gloating. I'll probably tune back in at the end of the week. In the meantime, I'm going to find something to do in my community to help out with the campaign.

5. After the deluge of 9/11 stuff on TV last night, I may join you
All I wanted was to watch an old movie or see some kind of interesting documentary, but I kept hitting 9/11 docudramas and WTC/Pentagon victim interviews.

6. I have not had cspan or cnn on this morning
just got and some mail out on fact checking for people. Talked to someone a few blocks down, and they are going to go Obama. Seems like the negativity factor is higher here on the good old DU than out in the real world. The lady down the block, said, she heard McCain got his bounce, and it would bounce right off the screen next week.. I had to laugh, because that is exactly what I have been saying.

Along with most of the people here. But really its the tea that helps

8. No Kidding
That was just the pits. Poor Kerry came out of the convention lower than what he went in with. Obama came out with his outlier polls at plus 10, (with McCain trying to step on it with the Palin announcement). McCain came out his plus 10 in his outlier posts post convention. So we are actually in a much better place. But the media will turn on you on a dime, how they shamelessly promoted the swiftboaters is something I will never forget.

10. I know, this is going to be harder than I thought.
But KO is not the same type of media. How is that for rationalization ;)
