Dem Operative Eyes Hill State For McCain
What an interesting article. Anyone from NE PA knows Jamie Brazil, a strong D..he's the big fundraising guy, "close" to Rendell..this is the guy who met w/ the Scranton mayor and many choice people..If any of you know Mayor Doherty, you seen him on stage in Phila the nite Hillary won, along with Doherty's entire family. Since then, his one brother has received a nice state job, and the mayor is next in line..corruption at its finest. BTW, he's the Jamie Brazil who is now the new "paid national director of Mr. McCain’s Citizens for McCain Coalition". Remember this article--"Local Clinton backers, McCain adviser meet" --
http://www.thetimes-tribune.com/articles/2008/08/20/news/sc_times_trib.20080820.a.pg1.tt20brazil_s1.1888751_top5.txt

Dem Operative Eyes Hill State For McCain

ST. PAUL - Hillary Clinton and her roommate, the former president, make a pit stop next month in Pennsylvania. An important state for a candidate to win, this was Hillary territory. She took Scranton like Grant took Richmond. Hillary heads there again the second week of October for the Methodist equivalent of a christening. The baby is Simon Rodham. The daddy, her brother Tony Rodham. The Clintons will houseguest with friends. Mr. and Mrs. Jamie Brazil. Former president of her brother's company, Jamie has a big smile, big house, big wristwatch, beautiful blond wife with big jewelry and biiiig wallet.

Also a big Democratic outreach. His current occupation is political consultant.
I learned this from Jamie himself. And where were we when he told me all this? Deep inMcCain McCountry listening to Sarah Palin. Sandwiched together in one of McCain's VIP skyboxes. The one next to us belonged to the senator's campaign manager Rick Davis. Ours belonged to the candidate's adviser Carly Fiorina. Jamie and I were a Coke bottle away from Henry Kissinger. We're talking folks who've been Republican since their first trimester.

So what's a Dem operative doing there?
"We're going to take Pennsylvania for McCain," Jamie said. "We'll win by 3 percent. We'll get Hillary supporters. The undecideds. From the coal region. Blue dog areas like Lackawanna, where it's 2-1 Democratic. We'll break into that."

I suddenly realized this McCain skybox was filled with Democratic types. Like closeted gays, one whispered: "Don't mention our names. We're not 'out' yet."

1. I don't believe this article. Trash fromt the Post (just endorsed McCain).
The GOP is good at planting stories to cause divisiveness; they have paid operatives writing shit - don't you remember from 2004?

11. I believe it. I've always expected that Pennsylvania was the next 'steal' for the fascists.

And a few fascist-friendly Dems will help provide the cover needed for the steal.

8. So you are saying that you verify the truth of these articles?
Edited on Mon Sep-08-08 10:17 AM by Franks Wild Years
Knowing him as you do, did you ever suspect he would turn out to be such a piece of slime? Are you insinuating that you believe there is a wider 'Clintonian' involvement in this type of thing?

17. On another but perhaps not too distant PA matter: You think Steady Eddie can be relied on to...
Edited on Mon Sep-08-08 10:49 AM by Franks Wild Years
...at least see to it that election night results are tallied properly? I'm no expert on PA politics. I'd just like to have some kind of hope that people will act honestly, even if it's not their desired candidate running for the Presidency.

The mere idea of fund raisers serving as turncoats is worrying enough so I'd like to think that notions of people higher up the food chain acting in a way not befitting their status can be quashed immediately, before any sort of conspiracy theories can develop. There are enough of them floating around this place already!

15. That's right....
and since you live in Phila, you must've read Jamie's name in the papers and what/who he was involved with.
