Give Palin credit: she is truly empowering
I was lukewarm about Obama, since when you get past the inspiring personal story and the hope-and-change stuff, his politics were a bit too centrist/conservative (Israel, FICA, etc). And McCain just came off as no worse than a say-anything-to-get-elected politician.

But now I will do everything in my power to keep this freaky fundamentalist cheerleader-on-steroids out of office. I donated to Obama for the first time yesterday and that's just the start. I have been empowered!

1. Good for you!
...and I agree on Palin. She is far more right that McCain OR Bush. We have to keep her away from the White House!

2. Yes, indeed! She's empowering in the way that Shrubby is a unifier!
She's empowering shitloads of people who are scared shitless of her to go Democrat.

Shrubby unified the whole world, and 80% of America, against him.

3. I think a lot of people did the same thing you did.
After hearing part of her speech at the RNC, I donated to Barack as well.

Sarah Palin is Karen Walker, only she's not funny and she's not a good person deep down inside.

(Karen Walker was the rich, boozy character with a sharp tongue and a heart of gold on Will & Grace, for those who didn't watch the show.)

4. She's certainly got me fired up.
I will be making another contribution to Obama/Biden after this coming payday.

If possible, I want to do some phone banking in the battle ground states.

A McCain win was a scary thought... but a McCain/Palin win is unthinkable.

Let's get fired up!

5. And embarrasing.
I want to see the media get back to focusing on McCain's connections to Bush for a while, and then break in with some Plain scandals occasionally, but we'll see.
