By Deborah White, About.com

Sep 5 2008
For your quick reading, I've listed key statistics about the Iraq War, taken primarily from data analyzed by various think tanks, including The Brookings Institution's Iraq Index, and from mainstream media sources. Data is presented as of August 27, 2008, except as indicated.

3. Being a POW does not equal qualification for anything, anyway.
I wish that this point could be pressed without it being seen as negative to do so.

4. Welcome to D.U....
Being a former p.o.w.

you would think that McCain would understand the gravity of War and all that comes with it. His cavalier attitude toward War and the men and women who would fight that war and the deaths that would surely occur is despicable! and as far as I'm concerned? unforgivable.

He can not use HIS time as a POW as the cornerstone of his campaign and NOT expect this to come up.

5. you are absolutely right....
and to take it one step further, I think his POW status could even cause him to be compelled to making brash decisions, i.e., continuing the war in Irag all in the name of "victory".

That you tube video of him singing "Bomb Bomb Bomb - Bomb Bomb Iran" tells me he is unfit to serve in the military mush less be President of the United States of America.
