A Rallying Speech: FIGHT THE GOOD FIGHT! ONE DAY AT A TIME!

A few lousy polls right after the Republican slimefest spends a week lying about our candidates, and we slump our shoulders and whisper...defeat.

Are you kidding me?

THIS IS OUR TIME!!!

We can DECIMATE the Republican Ticket over the next two months, and WE WILL. I want each and every one of you to make it your mission to register at least ONE voter, and tell them to CHECK THEIR registration before election day, so they don't get a last minute surprise!

I want each and every one of you to volunteer ONE day, phone banking or knocking on doors. No excuses. I know it is hard, and if you have a hard time doing this type of thing, recruit ONE friend to go with you.

I want each of you to write ONE Letter to the Editor, a very simple thing to do, and you can go right to Barackobama.com and they will link you right up. All you have to do is enter your zip code, click the boxes next to the papers you want your letter sent, and type your letter. They, even provide you with all kinds of talking points, if letter writing is not your particular strong point.

Send ONE donation to Barack Obama, and give as much as you can afford.

Talk to ONE person who has been lobotimized by the Republican brain-washing machine, and do you damn best to reprogram them! Tell them the truth. Be respectful. And, be prepared with links and sources. IT CAN BE DONE! I have done it, sometimes it has taken me WEEKS, but it has worked. The only caveat; avoid the true nut jobs, just find an average person who just doesn't know any better.

Attend ONE local democratic meeting. There is NOTHING better for your spirits then uniting with other sane individuals who share your cause. They are great people (and it also has the bonus of being a great network for friends, business, and social activities). There is life beyond these boards, and it is real world action that will win this election!

Take at least ONE DAY off from politics a week. I know it is hard for the true political addict. But, it is draining and you need your energy for the fight. Take care of yourself. Turn off the tv, no blogging. Keep your sanity.

If all of us do these things, the Republicans can not stop us. FIGHT THE FIGHT OF YOUR LIVES.
