This feels a lot like the Obama international trip aftermath.

When he was abroad, and he came off as Presidential, every clear thinking American saw the excitement and viewed his confidence in a good light. The polls reflected that. Then for some reason, the press decided to ask nightly if he was "presumptuous", parroting the McCain line/lie every half hour or so. We lost that large lead, why? because of that stinking press.

We had this same feeling right before the Convention. DU felt exactly the same way then as it does right now... a lot of hand wringing and worrying. We blow it out of the water at the convention, the numbers go through the roof and McCain pulls some cynical and dangerous trump move on VP....

Here comes the press again....

It's just going to be work... I suspect the debates will hand Obama another huge bump in the polls, and I suspect the press will again attack until the numbers are again even.. It's about votes and it will be a win by the slimmest of margins.

If McCain somehow pulls this out this time, well, the press, I say this country burns it down and starts over.
