I'm thinking Obama is really frustrated that issues aren't being discussed.
He has honed his opinions and arguments, and now personalities are more important than issues.
I'm frustrated and annoyed myself; let's talk about issues, but McBush can't, I guess.

1. The only way they can do this is to push for more prime-time interviews

2. He needs to attack the media hard! It would make him look like a grown up and a leader. nt

3. Debates will be the clear turning point for this opposition of personality and issue

4. No, he doesn't. He needs, and will continue to attack McBush. That's
the ticket. The media could be his friend, especially with McBush denouncing them so loudly.

5. Nah. Personality vs. issues isn't the problem.

Obama's got plenty of personality, and so does Joe.

The problem is Palin is the media's new darling and no one is getting to SEE either of them.

7. No, that's what McBush's advisor said: this isn't about issues.
And note the date.

Obama: This is not 'about biography'

The Swamp

NEW PHILADELPHIA, Ohio--Barack Obama returned to the trail today, pouncing on a comment made by John McCain's campaign manager, who suggested that the presidential election would be decided by personalities, not issues.

"Well, I guess I don't blame them," Obama (pictured at left in an AP photo) told a small crowd of invitees at a college campus here in eastern Ohio. "If you don't have any issues to run on, I guess you want it to be all about personality. If you got George Bush's track record and John McCain voting 90 percent of the time in agreement with George Bush, then you probably don't want to talk about the issues either."

Obama referred to a remark by McCain campaign manager Rick Davis, who told the editorial board of the Washington Post Tuesday that "this election is not about issues," said Davis. "This election is about a composite view of what people take away from these candidates."

6. In fairness...
...Obama vs. Hillary was mostly a personality contest. We should be grateful that the Republicans have openly admitted that they think it's not about the issues, so we can mock them for being out of touch.

8. I think he probably is a little disappointed, but he had to expect it.
It has been decades since a republican candidate for president relied on discussing issues.
