Where's the enthusiasm DU?
So many drama queens on here it feels like a teen soap opera on Nickelodeon. Any objective look at the electoral map still shows a steep uphill battle for McCain. So McCain got a Convention bounce and now has some bible-thumpers hopping with excitement. McCain is digging his hole deeper and deeper, especially with Palin, and the Obama campaign will make sure that they turn the tide of public opinion against him at the right moment. Obama also has an inherent money advantages to help with last-minute advertising and getting out the vote. McCain is betting his base against our base during a change election when the American people disapprove of George Bush and the Democrats have a huge voter registration advantage.

3. This is a doable election but it is by no means guaranteed.
In my state Democraic turnnout for the local primaries wqas abysmal though we out registered the GOP. Please make sure people vote. Voter registration means nothing is people don't vote and way too may folks are being complacent about this. They think wr can't lose but we can.We must take GOTV seriously. And please, for gods sake let folks know when voting day is. it is Nov. 4th .People need to know because many think it is the 7th. Nov.4th.

4. All very true.
I was watching Obama on Olberman tonight, and getting a little annoyed by his calm. Then I remembered, this guy is one cool customer, who always seems to be ten steps ahead of both the Republicans and us! My trust and my enthusiasm returned.

12. During the primaries I noticed that Obama's campaign
prefers to do their attacks on the down low and let other people do the attacking if possible. It's always best to have the attacks stick without having the attacker or the method of attack stick. You want people to think one month from now that Palin lied about the Bridge to Nowhere, not that Obama called her a liar concerning the Bridge to Nowhere. My analysis is that he believes that the more negative he appears to visibly be, the less voter turnout will be for him.
