I saw two McCain lawn signs tonight here in Madison WI

I was taking my dog to a dog park I've never gone to (Warner Park) and decided to take the drive home through the swanky (as far as Madison goes) Maple Bluff neighborhood. Lots of multi-million dollar homes along Lake Mendota... some homes rival homes I've seen in California or even Nantucket. Even its own police department that keep out the riff raff.

Of course, two of the biggest, swankiest homes near the Governor's Mansion (photo on top) had McCain lawn signs on the plush, very green, well-appointed lawns. We're talking greek columns embellishing 3,500 square foot mansions with driveway roundabouts that have a Mercedes and a Beamer at the ready...

Granted, I saw at least five Obama yard signs in some of the lesser homes nearby...

It was actually pretty funny to see such a Republican stereotype. I plan on going back sometime and taking a photo or perhaps engage in a conversation through some canvassing there, since it is near enough to the district I have my only home in.

4. Nah...
Spraying EasyOff oven cleaner does the trick... then again, I thought the "message" was perfect.

In fact, I'd like to put a McCain sign on any overly oversized, ugly McMansion's lawn. It's the perfect way to show people who McCain is all about...

3. The irony is, I am quite sure the people in that house got a big
laugh at Palin's jab at Obama's "styrofoam" Greek columns.

5. Irony indeed
The one home has a lot of Frank LLoyd Wright influences with most of the structure (he hung out in Madison quite a bit), but one day, whoever owned the place decided to pluck a couple greek columns in the entry way and the intention was obvious. Lots of money...and shitty taste.

The house I'm talking about is like the one below...except with big honking greek columns in the entry way... the house is set back at least 100 yards from the street...
