So, I guess we're not talking about the kids here, but, the NATIONAL ENQUIRER
has released more "news" tonight, kind of about family values. But since we don't discuss those things...

49. I think it's an opiate. The vandalism
was vandalizing the city's 44 school buses while drunk. 4 young men ranging from 16-18 I think I read something about slashing tires, removing tire stems, disconnecting heating blocks, cutting brake lines as a joke. The 16 year old (who was also charged with stealing booze) has not been identified, but Track was 16 at the time and there's talk of the type where everyone in town knows it was him and they're mostly afraid to say anything so they just hang up the phone and stuff like that.

The GOP strategy of making the media beg to kiss Palin's ring
has pissed off some powerful people in the news business.

Kicking AP off the plane, ABC having to grovel for a soft ball
morning show interview. The media have the cross hairs on her
and her small town mafia family. Palin is acting like British
Royalty setting the conditions for an audience with Her Majesty,
Queen of Wasila.

I can't wait

16. it's not the kids
It's telling the nation you support your pregnant daughter, when you stashed her away out of site.

It's telling the nation your son is a hero for joining the army, when he did it to stay out of jail.

That has nothing to do with the kids.

It's her actions.

Palin called herself a dog and a fish, and now she's got the pig thing going... But she also called herself something else good...

From a 5-pg. Newsweek article called "Apostle of Alaska"
http://www.newsweek.com/id/157696/page/3

"At the time, another prominent politician had called people living in the area of one of the proposed projects "valley trash." That gave Palin an opening. Campaigning in the area, she used some of her trademark humor to make her pitch: "OK, you've got valley trash standing here in the middle of nowhere," she declared to residents of Ketchikan. "I think we're going to make a good team as we progress (with) that bridge." "

So true, so true.

Seems to me, that how she brands herself is fair game, and I like that it's linked to the bridge.

Oh, and... isn't this cute? She named her PR company "Rouge Cou", i.e. a classed-up version of "redneck". How quaint!

who's trying to get votes and sympathy by presenting her family as a noble, normal bunch just making the best out of life.

It's great irony that people will read this knowing that the NE got it right on John Edwards...and as much as the media has been shoving Palin in our faces for the past week and a half, everyone's familiar with the PR basics of the family to recognize the names.

I second the hope that the checkout lines move very slowly this coming week.

that a local AK blogger wrote about just days after Palin was announced..said that he didn't even have a 2.0, screwed up his chances of getting into Univ of AK to play for their ice hockey team and his dad forced the military "option" on him because he knew his son had a "dismal" feeling about his son's future. people have been asking how the HELL do you not even make it to a having 2.0 in high school??

So now this charade gets to be played out in front of all of us, with them telling us how patriotic the kid is and no doubt that 9/11 made him decide to join.

I'm thinking the NE is going to be our source for "drip, drip, drip" over the next 50 days. They may be the October Surprise.
