certainly correct. While I think the OP is very good, the Obama campaign cannot embrace that message, for a number of reasons. I was attempting a tiny joke, in light of the media's rather strange habit of calling Obama a "rock star."

It's not an area where we want the national discussion to move towards. In fact, in an op-ed in the top paper in my region, a person who is identified as a retired ONI officer attacks Obama with crap about "the Temple of Obama" and the "messiah" bit. It allows me an opportunity to respond in a manner needed to put that business in check ..... real friendly-like.

While the types who burned Beatles albums are not going to vote for Obama anyhow, it is in our best interests to not "inflame" them. There is far too much fear and hatred already in the atmosphere.
