Can we have a pin thread or forum where DUers can connect for Election day help
Every DUer who can feasibly travel should make the effort to travel to a state or region that is key for Obama's victory. For those of us in solidly blue and (unfortunately) solidly red states - find somewhere you can travel for election day weekend following up to election day and help out in that area instead.

The republicans will focus their main attack of disenfranchisement in the urban areas of states such as Michigan, Ohio, Missouri, Pennsylvania where they can easily peel off 10-20% of the voters through some form of enfranchisement like caging. Democrats will need a large cluster of democrats to flesh out all these polling places in order to watch for this stuff happening and notify the dem officials so they can get in there and stop it before too much damage is done. I know in Philadelphia they gave all us poll workers phone numbers for us to contact and lawyers/officials would be dispatched immediately to address any funny actions by republicans.

Thing is, for many of us DUers in these urban areas, we might be able to provide housing for those DUers wanting to travel from one of the solid red/blue states. I know that I could easily keep 3-4 DUers for Oct 31st - Nov 5th if anyone wants to help out in Philadelphia (I'm in Wilmington DE but only 30 minutes away from Philly).

Perhaps the ADMIN can setup something to allow us to reach out to each other and find ways to help out on election day.

3. k&r for a really good idea.
I agree, pinning something of how to contact whomever or having a place to connect would be good.

5. And if anyone wants to campaign in Philadelphia please PM me
I live in Wilmington but only a 30 minute drive away from Philly. I will be happy to host 4 DUers who want to spend the weekend before election thru election day helping out in the Philadelphia region. Come prepared for plenty of walking, a great after party at the Wyndham in Philly (Ed Rendell's lucky hotel) AND I'll even do a celebrity tour of Wilmington where you can see Joe Biden's house!
