What are the odds Palin cries?
I believe she will cry and say "I just don't want to see us fall backwards"

That's how cynical and desperate McCain's campaign is. They think most Americans are morons for the most part, so why not try to pull that one out of the bag? They're probably right too, to think most Americans are easily manipulated morons. :eyes:

2. I can easily picture them doing that.
Start joking about it with people so when it happens they'll think of your joke and just laugh. ;)

5. Funny you should say that...

I've been waiting for it.

When McCain used the "lipstick on a pig" deal on Hillary's health care plan, it was a good thing. When Obama used it to describe McCain/Bush policy, it was a bad thing.

When they were calling Obama a "rock star" it was a bad thing. When they used it to describe Palin, it was a good thing.

When Hillary cried, it was a bad thing... I think you get my drift.

8. I think you're getting it.
They're using the good parts of BOTH Obama and Hillary's primary campaign as their General Election campaign.

18. Yep... Change
Change is another bit they stole. How you can possibly say voting in lock step with the GOP and Bush regime 90% of the time is change is beyond me. They would change the linens and china, maybe some drapes and wallpaper... beyond that, not so much.

7. I Have Thought If She Cries....
If she cries I thought it might be in the debates....and then the MSM will run with how Biden MADE her cry.

12. If they pulled that during the DEBATES, the comeback is simple:
If she can't stand up to her campaign opponent, why should we believe she's capable of standing up to the likes of Vlad Putin or Pervez Musharraf?

9. As I said earlier, I'm sure we'll see some glycerin 'tears' - it's 911
for chrissake and she's sacrificing her son tomorrow for the 'cause' - OMG, Charlie better take an umbrella.

They will however, be 'brave', silent tears of 'resolve' - guaranteed!

11. I could see it. All part of their lack-of-any-pride insistence that we play by "girls' rules"...
with her. The only question is whether the press will fall for it, or whether they'll laugh at her, and play her video decrying other women for falsely whining about made-up sexism.

15. doesn't fit the stereotype...
Edited on Wed Sep-10-08 01:12 PM by progdonkey
Hillary and Palin each have been made to fit certain contrasting stereotypes of women. Just look at the difference between the action figures that have been made for Hillary and Palin: Hillary's was a literal nutcracker, with her legs being the working parts; Palin's makes it look like she's fucking Agent Scully, wearing a sexy women's suit and carrying a semi-automatic pistol.

Hillary's the shrill nutcracker; the fake, ambitious bitch; the closet lesbian with countless male lovers; the whiner; the girl who cries "but I'm a girl!", etc.

Palin's the pistol-packin' babe; she'll kick your ass if you try to get near hers (which she puts on full display with tight clothes); she's fucking Lara Croft, dude!

(Both are of course manufactured, with the prime difference being that Hillary's stereotype was made to hinder her and Palin's has been made to help her.)

Lara Croft doesn't cry. She kicks ass and takes names! But does it wearing tight, revealing clothes so men aren't intimidated by her kick-assitude. But Palin, unlike Croft, still knows her place is below men--she uses her guns to keep uppity women and the men who help them down. After all, a woman's allowed to do anything she wants, so long as she does it in a manner designed to turn men on.

So, no, I don't think Palin will cry. :P (But again, it's not because I don't think they'd be that cynical or desperate, as you say, it's just that I see them having a particular script, and crying doesn't seem like it would fit.)
