stuff is true.... there would be a lot of celebrating in GOP circles.

A. They'd play the "sympathy" card concerning a "good man, war hero" who's had bad health luck.

B. They'd somberly hold "emergency party leadership meetings" to decide on a new nominee... these meetings would dominate news media for weeks.

C. The debates would be cancelled or moved later.

D. Obama/Biden would be relegated to page 8 of the news for weeks while this played out

E. Then they would pick a nominee, no matter who it is, who the press will have NO TIME AT ALL to vet.

F. Whoever they picked would NOT be attacked much, because it would seem to be in VERY bad taste.

G. The pick would NOT be Palin. But she'd still be the VP.

I don't want anything to happen that causes McCain to be removed from the ticket. The GOP could spin this into something very bad for us.

4. The ONLY way he gives up top spot at the ticket, is if it is pried out of his cold dead fingers
He won't step down for the good of the party. Unless there is some sort of arcane rule, where the RNC could strip ot from him then ok, but no way he would ever step down voluntarily.

5. Not so much.
A. Doesnt matter how much sympathy people have for McCain. If hes not on the ticket, who cares.

B. This would give Obama / Biden a chance to hammer home their platform... unopposed.

C. Not ready to debate = not ready to lead.

D. See B

E. False. Look at all thats been uncovered on Palin in just a week.

F. Bullshit. Bad taste is the campaign McCain is currently running. Bad taste how? Bad taste why? That makes no sense.

G. Whatever. Her lack of experience will matter even more than it does now.

12. Well.. that's certainly a better way of looking at it!

I just had my tin foil hat on that the GOP secretly WANTS McCain to drop out.

14. Plus...
if they *dont* put Palin at the top of the ticket it'll show that even THEY know she's not qualified to be President!

We'd kick their asses. :hi:

11. Depends on if it shows the Republicans tried running someone who shouldn't have been running.
It wouldn't look good for the whole party.
