There's plenty of time to turn this country around.

I was thinking about this today. When I was younger, I used to think that. When Nixon got elected and then elected again, I said, oh well, there's plenty of time to make this right. I'm young, I'll survive this. Then the first Bush and even the second Bush. I comforted myself with the thought that everything could change and that the time for change was there. Now, maybe it's because I'm older and wiser and my time is running out, but I think we are so far down in the sewer that time is really running out. I have about 20 good years left and I really don't want to spend them being ashamed of my country. The younger ones here have more time but I think if we lose this one we will not be able to recover our country.

Just my thoughts today about what I thought in past election years. A word to the wise.
