"Palin tried to ban 'Gay Themed' books" - according to source:

Reporter: Palin Sought Gay Book Ban

Republican running mate Sarah Palin says she's a reformer, but what kind remains unknown.

According to sources in Wasilla, Alaska, Palin tried to use her sway as mayor to censor the local library. Though then-librarian Mary Ellen Baker tells ABC News Palin didn't specifically ask her to censor any specific titles, journalist Paul Stuart attests that Baker, who was later fired, had named names. And - surprise! - one of the books had gay themes...

1. according to CNN, it doesnt matter she TRIED to ban books
its the fact that she wasnt able to and backed off of the ideal...

so therefor people complaining about it are silly and stupid because she didnt ACTUALLY ban books, she just tried!
gosh! that should make us all sleep a little easier, she just TRIED to!

3. Just like we were told Saddam TRIED to obtain WMDs...
And look what happened there.

Apparently, according to CNN's logic, if you TRY to ban books but fail, that doesn't really count, but if you TRY to obtain WMDs and fail (even if it's a lie), then we will unleash hellfire and damnation on you...

Neo-con logic perplexes me.

4. Well it's true. If you TRY to rob a store and fail, then it's a not a problem...
...following that "logic".

11. Which books did she try to ban?
I've been looking for the list in order to make a blog post at TPM but I've been unable to find it.

2. Paul is a friend of mine.
He doesn't lie. He also told me she has a vicious temper and he's hiding out.

14. Yes
I see him everyday. He told the truth so now he is a little nervous she'll "get him." He's going through a very difficult time right now and is not up to notoriety.

8. This list has been debunked..
You might want to delete this - you're probably going to get yelled at. I'm sure you aren't aware - but this list is not a list of books Palin tried to have banned - some of them weren't even written yet when she was Mayor (Harry Potter, etc.)

10. If Sarah Palin had gay children, she wouldn't have to worry about those pesky
accidental teen pregnancies.
