What did Obama do and say today. Update me, please.

Let's talk more about Obama and Biden and less about those other two.

If you too want more Obama info and less about Palin, please recommend this thread.

I'm not trying to scold. I really mean it. I'm already bored with the McCain/Palin talk.

1. Thank you!
I was trying to illustrate that with my Daily DU Palin thread....because that is how ridiculous it has gotten.

After November 4th, I hope I don't have to hear her name ever again.

2. check in the political video section
There are several good videos in there. I posted one on his trip to Norfolk, where he gave a talk to some high school freshman. There are several on his response to the lipstick stuff.

12. I think you are right, Egnever.
We are longing for a positive message, and that is what Obama is providing. We are all longing to look forward with optimism and that is what Obama does.

I will never forget the crowd at Obama's speech on the last night of the convention.

It was tremendous. There was no regimentation in the crowd. Rather the folks watching Obama were spontaneous and free individuals united in hope. That is what we need to remember. We can change our country. We don't have to look backward. We need to strive toward independence not just from foreign oil but from the use of oil as a fuel.

Petroleum has too many important uses other than fuel. We need to conserve and preserve it as a resource for our great-great-great-great grandchildren. Obama promises to make that possible. McCain and friends want to just burn, burn, burn oil and bomb, bomb, bomb in order to be able to burn, burn, burn the oil.

Obama is promising a different direction. We need to focus our positive energy in Obama's direction.

I couldn't agree more with that paragraph. We need to stop burning it as quickly as possible or we are not going to have any for a whole host of necessities no one ever thinks about.

13. Right on.
More signal, less noise. That's what will help Obama/Biden, not joining in WWF politics.

More than enough is known about Palin now. She's cramming for the V.P./possible Presidency like she's cramming for an exam. It's an implicit admission that she isn't ready.

I hope she does start responding to reporters' questions, because the media is doing a better job of propping up her candidacy than she ever could. The debates can't come soon enough for me.
