9. The voice of reason!
We're trying to associate McCain with the Bush administration, not Obama with Bush! Even if he is supposedly regretful. That entire "Bush sounds like a liberal" schtick at the RNC (Palin's night I believe) was designed to capitalize on a future news story, and a Powell endorsement would work just fine for their purposes. "See guys? Bush = OBAMA! We said it way back at the convention, and now it's been proven!"

If Powell were to endorse Obama, I might get back some of the positive thoughts I had about the man before he joined in the deception of the American people.

7. I am sorry to say this about a military man. But he is a coward and will not stand for a good thing
the same way he went along with a lie. I am not counting on him to do the right thing.
