"She's Just As Flawed As We Are".
McCain/Palin supporters in Virginia yesterday waxing eloquent on why they are crazy for Palin.

Does this make sense? We have gone from the idea that anybody can be president, as in, now matter where you're born, what class, race, gender, etc., if you work hard enough and do the right things, etc. to -

anyone of us could be president, whether we achieve anything or not. Just put your average mediocre flawed never done anything person in there because "we can relate to that kind of person".

6. Idiots. They must think life is like the movies: "Wouldn't it be neat
if we grabbed someone who's only been in statewide office 19 months, and doesn't even know what a Vice President does, and put her a heartbeat away as leader of the free world? All sorts of hilarity would ensue!"

Since when did smarts and talent and great ideas become undesirable qualities???
No wonder the republicans have turned this country to shit.

16. An Amazing Anthem For The Obama Campaign
Hi Friends and Fellow Democrats,

I recently came across this on Youtube.
Please watch this music video that couldn't be a better anthem endorsing Barack Obama.
I feel that it completely sums up our concerns and hopes for a brighter future.

Let's get it out there to help make the change!

Thank you for your time

Sincerely,

Darryl Smithburg

people are actually thinking of repeating the process using the same thinking "logic" that gave us Bush.

Incredible.

20. More hypocricy from the republickers.
"Flawed" is only acceptable or desirable in a candidate if the candidate is Republican. The flaws they are praising in Palin would be deal breakers if they were attributed to a Democrat.

We've gone from American Idol to American Idle.

honestly, i dunno what makes people be so egotistical... this logic that people cant stand someone smarter than them doing something better and more fulfilling than them...

why in gods name would you want someone as smart as you running the country ? shit, i wouldnt want someone with my intelligence to even attempt it, let alone these backwards bible thumpers(as opposed to the frontwards ones with a head on their shoulder)....

morons voting for morons so they can feel good about being a moron. the jokes on them tho, cause they really arent the humble morons they pretend to be to be accepted by the moron masses... they just pretend to be stupid to gain trust.. then they steal everything from under you... just like bush did.
classic.

27. But at least Bush, for all his dumbness, had some sort of pedigree.
I think Bush was the bridge to what we are seeing now. First start off with an elite dumbass, and then you can see it won't matter even if you have no bonafides because being dumb is what counts the most.

39. The "idiots" get a choice of corporate candidate A or corporate candidate B.
And you castigate them for choosing a corporate candidate?

So you think Americans would be better off if they had voted for Bob Dole instead of Bill Clinton in 1996? :silly:

28. She's flawed, but thinks she's perfect
that's why she's scary. She doesn't see her faults as faults, but God given talents. She can lie because the lie is for the greater good. She can abuse her power because it's for the greater good, she can cheat the government because if she does it then God must think it's ok. So yes she's flawed, but no she's not like any body else.

34. You put your finger on something that really bothers me about her.
She probably knows that she is not qualified, but her religious belief overshadows that. It's in God's hands, and as I've heard so many times from religious people when I have turned down a plea to become a deacon because "I'm not ready for that": "he will make you ready" referring to God.

Once committed to a McCain/Palin ticket, it can reframe almost any new evidence.
