ABC plans prime-time Palin special From Talking Points Memo
THIS is why the rethugs were not allowing any interviews with her! THIS will give her so much more exposure it will be sickening!
Personally I am sick to death of seeing her name and that smirky smile she's got!

1. This "interview" will be nothing but a fluff piece, I'll bet.

13. ABC will powder her ass
I am sure that the ABC interview will be hard hitting. I will probably get wasted and watch for the entertainment value.

2. yeah, it's going to be so over the top.
I love that they also have a "roundtable" with George afterwards. What a crock. I can't bear to watch.

I'm not watching it AT all.. You'd be crazy to give that woman any more
power.. like she's popular of something. This is the type of interview that you do with a Celebrity; not someone who is asking for a job from the American people.. F- her.

11. Biden was a great choice.
You could argue that the Repub base would still have been super energized just by a Clinton addition to the ticket. Let's look forward now.

14. That doesn't answer the question does it.
This isn't about the choice of VP. Ir about a major broadcast network giving one politician a prime time special with no rebuttal being offered to the other side.

18. You think the choice of Palin is equal to the choice of Biden?
How are they the same? Serious question.

7. The media's scripted all hail to Palin
The term INTERVIEW should be applied to these "SPECIALS" very loosely

8. SEE THIS PART! It's a planned rollout via Republican friends TV networks! A week long event!

Gibson is having three separate interviews with Palin, ABC said. Parts of the interviews will be spread around other ABC news programs, including "Nightline" and "Good Morning America."

The prime-time special, at 10 p.m. EDT, will also include a bio of Palin by ABC's Kate Snow and a round-table discussion on the presidential race moderated by George Stephanopoulos.

The Alaska Republican has proven to be a ratings-grabber during her short time on the national political scene. Her speech to the GOP national convention last week was seen by more than 40 million people, according to Nielsen Media Research.

A Fox News Channel documentary, "Governor Palin: An American Woman" last Saturday was the highest-rated prime-time documentary in the network's history, with 2.7 million viewers.

CNN is also planning a Palin special this weekend.

16. This is making me nervous
The media machine is just feeding this beast and can influence the outcome. We need something (a bombshell, poor showing at debate, etc.) to stem the tide. I don't see how the hell we can lose, but if we do, I have NO doubt it will be because the media handed it to them,

9. at least CNN is doing a Biden special at 10 on Sunday
(following, of course, a Palin special at 9). They showed a preview of it where the reporter asked Biden to read an excerpt from his book, and he gets really emotional while reading it.
