Hurricane Ike is barreling right into the heart of US gasoline refining capacity.

So gas prices will be notably higher one the eve of the first debate.

3. I just saw a story about price spikes this week from Gustav, and that was nothin'
This is a BIG hurricaine. It's not getting the same media build up because it's not heading for N.O. (Katrina II) but is a much scarier storm.

I just talked to someone in Houston. They're sandbagging, evacuating... four block gas lines, impossible to get into grocery stores, etc..

to go proactive or aggressicve on this. He truly doesn't care.

He's done, he's glad of it (I think), and he couldn't care less about setting a precedent--even for a McCain presidency. Besides, who is going to call him to task? The media is more concerned about talking up nisunderstood folk sayings...

My son was born in the Clinton administration. His future SEEMED very secure. He really isn't that old; but what the FUCK happened to this country?

2. They'll Blame The Democrats
You know they'll blame the Democrats for not allowing offshore drilling.

Never mind that many of those offshore rigs would be right in the path of Ike. I mean, there's no sense in letting a little thing like the truth interfere with your campaign rhetoric.
