So, the daughter engages in unprotected pre-marital sex...
...the oldest son is an addict, the spouse a separatist, and the candidate a lying nutjob...Quite frankly it appears that young Trig, Down's syndrome not withstanding, may be the nicest AND the smartest of the family. Not that he should be Vice President, either.

Tell us again John about her being vetted.

7. No, they just prayed
and prayed, and prayed, and then levi, denied, denied, denied. Until miss sarah said she would get his entire family fired. Then bristol and levi ran off in the sunset to live happily ever after.

Such a pretty fairytale for a make believe family.

15. While we should "leave the family out of it"..
Edited on Fri Sep-12-08 01:01 AM by regnaD kciN
...I keep wondering if the pregnancy was such an "accident." I've known more than a few teen girls who have gotten pregnant "accidentally on-purpose," and I keep wondering about the dynamics of the Palin family, especially in terms of the timing. Think about it: a girl in her last years of high-school, an older brother having just moved out and joined the Army, expecting to be the "queen bee" of the Palin kids for awhile. Then, Mom announces that, guess what, she's having another baby! And it's going to be the center of attention, as all newborns and toddlers are, until it's Bristol's turn to head off to college or whatever. Note that she apparently got pregnant within a month of Mom announcing the new kid -- could it have been a way to finally get some attention?

HAH! I got you by 2 days.....I was confused back then, but DU helped me connect the dots. And now, with the knowledge I gain here, I can sometimes even find them amusing. But only because I think we have a chance to win this time.

14. I was always a Democrat....
...but non-political, if you get my drift. I had voted only once and incorrectly (Nixon 72') and assumed I should stop voting since my judgement was so poor. I believed he was A.Trying to end the war and B.Not lying to me...If it helps at all, I was in the 4th ID and trending toward Vietnam when I voted for him...I didn't end up having to go but friends from my unit did. A few of them are on the wall. Fast forward 32 years later...I've seen 9/11 and the bullshit that followed...they were killing young guys just like I had been decades before. Kerry was it and I had no doubt and I registered and voted and then the Ohio theft....I was bereft. Then I came here and saw the theft in Florida in 2000.

So for 4 years now I've listened and learned. My instincts are appearently as poor as ever-in the primary I voted Edwards. Now I am a political Democrat. I support Obama 100% and talk him up quietly with each person I meet.

For me DU was a Godsend, but more, a place of facts and truth at a time I simply could find them nowhere else. When I put a post up here I try to write something meant for someone as confused as I was when I stumbled in here 4 years ago and found clarity....

6. But her family is "real," just like yours and mine . . .
Facing the complexities of modern life and responding like realfolks (tm) do -- doping, drinking, sleeping around, praying, beating up on your more obnoxious relatives, and cheating the government.

Hmmm. Reality as a sleazy sitcom. It's high concept, I think I can sell it to Fox.

8. The lack of integrity in their vetting process is alarming
But not as alarming as the fact that many voters can just gloss right over that and at the same time crucify the Clintons. Unbelievable hypocrisy.

12. What with everything coming out about Palin, I must have missed the part about her son
Her oldest son is an addict? Where'd that come from?

13. Appearently, National Enquirer...
who state 2 year addiction to oxycontin and other drugs including injection. "Track" indeed. Again I wonder how this will affect his deployment.

Enquirer has enough experience not to print this if it will cost then millions.
