AP quotes Palin---War with Russia: "Perhaps so" Purest Definition of batshit crazy
Edited on Fri Sep-12-08 12:37 AM by grantcart

Been on the road and missed all the earlier fun. Heard snippets here and there. Saw many great points raised in other threads.

But what struck me was her rather flippant response to war with Russia: "Perhaps so"

War with a prideful thermonuclear power in their backyard, in their 500 year traditional sphere of power (I wonder if she is aware of the Monroe Doctrine?) in a part of the world where we would be unable to supply and sustain an army, that she would agree that war with Russia is a likely result of incremental conditions and respond to the possibility: "Perhaps So".

Perhaps So.

Its the kind of flippant remark your teenage daughter says when you tell her that if she goes out at night with out a coat she could get a cold. Its the kind of response you make when somebody makes a fairly frivolous remark with mild consequences, like if you park illegally here you could get your car towed.

War with Russia? Perhaps So.

This is just the purest definition of batshit crazy.

edited to add how the AP quotes it

Called for Georgia and the Ukraine to be included in NATO, a treaty that requires the U.S. to defend them militarily. She also said Russia's attack into Georgia last month was "unprovoked." Asked to clarify that she'd support going to war over Georgia, she said: "Perhaps so."

1. Makes perfect sense, for someone who believes she will see Jesus
come back in her lifetime, and belongs to a church that thinks Alaska is a "refuge" state for the end times.

21. Unprovoked? So the Georgians did not bomb their Ossetia province?
(1) So she's asserting the news footage was wrong? Those bombs and all that-- didn't happen?

Or that Georgia should be able to bomb their own provinces with impunity.

and

(2)And the "Perhaps so" reply may be her letting her duty to her religion, hastening the Rapture, trump her duty to the country by avoiding war wherever possible.

Adding in her unspoken but thought words, after that "Perhaps so (if is is God's will)." And while she says we must not presume to know God's will, she has stated that the Iraq war is a mission from God.

I hope most Americans do not want a Rapturite in the vice presidency and will vote accordingly.

I hope most Americans will get angry at a Presidential candidate who chose such an extremist for his second in command.

Total hairbrained dimwit.

Palin is the perfect example of someone who hasn't got a thought in her head - and she's willing to prove it!!
