Climate Change Palin advises: We gotta do something about it (AP)
Edited on Fri Sep-12-08 12:44 AM by grantcart
In the second part of the interview Palin steps back from her radical anti science point of view that there is no such thing as climate change and her new policy position:

"We gotta do something about it". Clear leadership that will lead is out of the ditch and directly into the bottomless crevice.

Palin, however, said: "I believe that man's activities certainly can be contributing to the issue of global warming, climate change. ... Regardless though of the reason for climate change, whether it's entirely, wholly caused by man's activities or is part of the cyclical nature of our planet - the warming and the cooling trends - regardless of that, John McCain and I agree that we gotta do something about it."

and the entire climate change reference

Later, in the second interview, Palin said she broke from McCain on climate change and oil drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge in Alaska. McCain has said humans have caused climate change and the federal government shouldn't permit drilling in the federally protected wildlife reserve.

On ANWR, she said: "We'll agree to disagree but I'm gonna keep pushing that and I think eventually we're all gonna come together on that one."

3. If it really WERE "part of the cyclical nature of our planet..."
Just what the fuck do they propose to do about that? That didn't even make sense.

Disclaimer: Obviously, I do not believe that global warming is natural.

6. Sarah? have we debated before?
I've been trying to get at the nutters with "climate maintenance". A line of argument to get them on board with doing something to stop the bleeding on the environment by taking how climate change happens out of the discussion.

No matter how it happens if we'd like to continue to live we better take steps to maintain a habitable climate for us. It appeals to their self-centered greed of the general dumbass preaching a talking point and boils it to "common sense".

WARNING: Does not work with the don't believe in/understand science/we are powerless types. The moneychangers think the market is God and when something needs to be done, a correction will resolve it, while growing the economy.
