This was the response from the host of the M&J show in response to a discussion regarding Palin's lack of experience. I think she used to be on some morning show on Faux. What the hell are these people smoking?!

and considered a potential candidate for the Presidency in 1988 4 years before he actually ran.

He also had intellectual curiosity about the rest of the world outside of Arkansas to at least read newspapers (he did more than that).

3. Have you noticed when they use former governors-turned-President, they
never, ever, ever mention the most recent and obvious example -- George Bush?

They jump back to Reagan and Clinton. They even claim that Clinton was successful as Prez, even though they excoriated him and called him awful up to this point. They want to pretend that Bush never happened.

I think there has been a little sucking up regarding Bill Clinton's presidency in order to pull in Hillary Clinton supporters. At least that was the impression I got when I watched Lieberman at the RNC.

5. I Think That is a Good Point, Actually
Resume alone is not the issue. Perot was fond of saying Clinton was executive of a state the size of Dallas/Fort Worth.

On the other hand, I think Clinton had a very bad first year due to the steep learning curve. For Palin, it would be an infinitely greater challenge.

6. He was a Rhodes Scholar.....Caribou Barbie
received her bachelor's degree (B.A.) in journalism after transferring five times in six years: Hawaii Pacific University, North Idaho College, University of Idaho, Matanuska-Susitna College, University of Idaho again. None of the colleges have entry requirements.

There are no records of any honors achieved. Sarah hasn't released her records to the public, normally an indication that no honors were received and the grades were enough to graduate.

7. Bill Clinton was a student of foreign policy
for years. People denigrate candidates who have long had ambitions toward national office, but it clearly helps- it makes the person actively PREPARE for such office. Clinton did that. In Palin we have someone who until very recently, admittedly, had no bloody idea what a Vice President does.
That is simply fucking scary.

I cannot believe people are buying it!

I have a relative who seems to think that she is a wonderful pick. When I tried discussing her lack of experience, I got the "Obama has no experience" spiel. So I started making point by point comparisons... it didn't end well.

Well someone has to say it.
