1. Passion ... like Sarah Palin has? I'll pass.
I like Barack as is. If you want a "passionate" candidate, look elsewhere.

3. Could it hurt though to not have a guy become stiff and inflexible like Kerry?

21. He is no John Kerry.
If you can't see that, I'm sorry.

Obama is fantastic just as he is.

23. I like it - and I did not see it as insulting to Obama
Obama has it all in my book. Intelligence, dedication, knowledge of the Constitution, stellar education, author, he's a self-made man who has experienced the depths of poverty first-hand, he is an internationalist, he makes a concerted effort to be candid with the American people, he's apparently a wonderful husband and father. The only quality he seems to be missing is the melodrama so many Americans thrive on. I see the absence of melodrama as a big plus, not a minus. This cartoon I think depicts that.

2. Eh, I'm sick of passion and excitement and appearances
taking the place of substance.

It wouldn't be change, it'd be more of the same.

6. You think Obama doesn't have passion??? Look, he's been
on the campaign trail for 19 months. He beat out our best and our brightest. He is making history as the first black candidate for President. He is smart, he is a gentleman and he has some self control. What do you want, someone out there with a baseball bat?

8. Yes, but he gave it up to be "Mr.Centrist"
Which is bullshit on so many levels it isn't even funny, but that's what he's been doing for a while and I'm not happy about it.

10. Why do we do this?
It happens every election cycle. Our guy takes a small dip in the polls, then everybody starts piling on about how poorly his campaign is being run, or how poorly he is presenting himself to the public. IMO this piling on then causes another drop in the polls, which causes more piling on, which causes another drop, and so on and on and on.

We're shooting ourselves in the foot with this armchair quarterbacking.

12. So, his acceptance speech had no passion? Tony Auth didnt
watch the same speech that I saw. BO has lots of passion....he just thinks about his answers before he speaks. It is refreshing to see and hear that in a candidate.

15. I have liked Auth in the past. He misses with this one.
Obama is a passionate speaker. He has spoken out quite intensely about McSame's lies.
Those are not covered because Republican controlled media know that if they just report that the event occurred, without clips, they can demoralize us Democrats and make us think our candidate is not fighting.

OTHER DEMOCRATS should be out there hollering about McSame's lies. But they, too, will have a much harder time getting coverage than Republicans do.

22. For many Democrats it seems adversity equals defeat
A lot, a lot of frontrunners around here.

Let's do this, bring your passion! It's bottom up, if you have the right kind of passion then take it to the streets and use it on the phones.
I don't see enough even matching Obama and Biden's passion out on the stump. I see a bunch of handwringer. A bunch that can't take a punch and so rather than getting up, lay on the ground sniveling and crying.

Get up and fight along side us. Fight with us on every front and never waiver. We don't have time to get tired.

We must bring them down.
