The reason for McCain gains in Polls...Bob Barr losing support
I wonder if one of the reason that McCain is gaining ground in the polls is that some dissatisfied republicans how thought of voting for Bob Barr now how returned to the GOP. Maybe Obama should try to get some attention to Bob Barr who has been quite aggressive on the GOP Policies.....

What do you rhink?

1. Good point
I haven't seen any polling on him lately. I know at one point he was over 10% in a couple of states.

4. You just might be onto to something
Maybe since Ron Paul threw his support to third party candidates this will help Barr.

Rachel Maddow had him on her show.

3. Most of the polls I have seen don't ask about Barr
So Barr voters might have been included in "Undecided" or "McCain" depending on how they answered.

Obama could certainly advantage some of getting more media attention to Barr.....

6. He was cutting into McCain's lead in NC.
And since the convention, he's dropped off. I think Obama's team might do well to send some people out to campaign for Barr in NC. Maybe we can split the Republican vote and steal that state for Obama.

8. Ron Paul has a lot of support in NC.
Maybe his recent request for voters to go third party will help Barr get back on track.

7. We have two constitutional law professors as a ticket. That should appeal to Barr and Paul camps.

9. That makes sense
If you are on that "fringe" of the spectrum, and a McSame loss seems likely, it's easier to justify a "protest"vote for Barr. OTOH, if McSame appears likely to win, those voters will come away from Barr.

I suspect Nader and McKinney will gain or lose support based on the perception of how close Obama can come to victory.
