My interpretation of Sarah Palin and Charly
Edited on Fri Sep-12-08 09:51 PM by Pryderi
While watching clips of Charlie Gibson's interview of Sarah Palin, I couldn't stop thinking of the movie, "Charly", which of course is based on "Flowers for Algernon". Except that Sarah Palin is actually in the role of "Charly".

Here we have a woman who is at the same level as Cliff Robertson.

As she is named as the VP for the GOP, she looks like a friggin' genius, but after more investigation, she is really mentally incapacitated and is in need of gov't help.

God or Allah or who ever the hell is up there help us if this dingbat becomes the POTUS>
We would be royaly screwed.

Instead of Rome burning while Nero fiddled...Washington would fall while Sara was killing moose.

2. The best description of Sarah in this interview was from a teacher
who called KPOJ this morning. She said she has taught HS for 17 years, and to he Sarah sounded like one of her students who was trying to BS her way through an oral test and failing!

3. LOL! My fiancee was making the same point! Except she said that HS juniors had a better
comprehension of international politics.

5. Her answers were at about a ninth grade level of maturity and
logic. One thing is sure, she will never graduate from Harvard magna cum laude.

By the way, what is her explanation for having attended five colleges over a six year period. That seems very odd to me. I'm wondering about the admission standards of the fourth and fifth schools.

4. Having been an educator for over 30 years, I ditto what the previous
post said about Palin's responses. It was bullshit all the way. When people don't directly answer questions that were asked it simply means one of two things, (1) they don't know the answer or (2)
they are being evasive for reasons that are usually deceitful.

6. She isn't even 'nice' about what she doesn't know...
She's sarcastic, and tries to hijack the conversation
to talking points she knows...

Everything sounds like a pre-programmed phrase,
and it drives me nuts.

She is 'on guard' constantly,
not relaxed, even in her own element.

I guess I'd be 'on guard' too, but how's she
supposed to represent the country,
and lead the nation if everything has to be
mentally 'forced fed' by Rove or other manipulators.

I don't trust her; but maybe it's just me.

7. Her arrogance level is the highest I've ever seen since watching
old news reels of Mussolini. In light of her obvious ignorance and naivete' of political issues, one
would think she might be a bit on the more modest side.
