Texas is a red state what affect will Ike have on the election?
There is going to be a lot of damage and rebuilding will this affect the race there?

2. I'm just concern because I have family in the area
Just glad they are out of harms way this morning,but as I'm watching the storm I had to wonder what does this all mean. Life is more important to me than politics but it does make one wonder.

The government is probably definitely not going to botch this one so the Texans won't have as much cause for grievance as New Orleans does.

I'm just hoping that the ones who benefit from the rebuilding are the citizens and NOT the oil companies.
