McCain as we know here is part of and stands for the GOP - he is responsible for the damage caused to our country. He wears a mask.

He told the voters he would have been the first to get down to New Orleans whilst people drowned when Katrina hit but in fact he was having a birthday party with non other than George W Bush. see photo.

1. People need a more direct link between Bush and McSame
While most of us here know that the policies he is proposing really are just warmed over Bush policies (or worse) but most people, because of the "maverick" myth that has been created and perpetuated (even among some Democrats), probably still aren't quite convinced that by voting for McCain they're basically voting for another Bush term ("yeah, he may be Republican but he's no Bush/Cheney"). Obama/Biden need to make sure people understand how fundamentally similar McCain's policies, ideas, etc. really are more or the same (provide a direct link, which IMHO shouldn't be too hard to do).

Frankly, however, McCain has changed his positions and reinvented himself so many times that it's probably hard for most people to fully grasp who he really is and what his position is on any given day. Maybe that would end up being a more potent line of attack. If John Kerry was a flip-flopper, John McCain seems to be an even bigger one.
