Guess what was delivered with my morning paper today?
I live in Cornelius NC and that propaganda DVD "Obsession Radical Islam's War Against the West" was included with the ads

According to the crap listed on the front this piece of garbage has been around since 2005 because that was when it won
"Best Feature Film" at the Liberty Film Festival

I want to know who is sponsoring putting this garbage in my paper

5. Wikipedia entry for the Libery Film Festival
Edited on Sat Sep-13-08 10:25 AM by Hokie
Looks like it is a conservative sham founded by wingnuts PO'ed at Michael Moore's success:

The Liberty Film Festival was a film festival held in California. It was founded in 2004

It screened self described Conservative films. Past films screened include Larry Elder's Michael and Me.

The festival has been promoted on many right leaning political blogs. The festival was also promoted before a speech given in California by Fred Thompson in May 2007 <1> This event was broadcast on C-Span.

Notable guests of the 2007 festival included David Zucker and David Bossie <2>

The organizers of the festival have appeared on CNN, Fox News, and MSNBC talk shows

Something smells. A strongly worded phone call/email to your paper is in order. I'd like to know who paid for that too.

14. Here's the answer: the film was produced by Raphael Shore
a Canadian who lives in Israel. The spokesman for The Clarion Fund (a NY non-profit group) that is paying for the distribution will not disclose its donors or its Board of Directors.

From the article:

New York state documents list Eli David Greenberg, a 49-year-old lawyer with the firm of Freeman and Hertz, as the registered agent for the Clarion Fund.

Greenberg is a registered Democrat and has donated money to Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign. He did not return phone calls.

My take on this is that it's being promoted by the rabid Zionists.

It was distributed with our Raleigh News & Observer, and had this front page article:

17. Did anyone get that vis UPS? I had a mysterious package from "Color Graphics"
that is being forwarded to me. I didn't order it --- BUT "color graphics" is the company that Matthew Towery of Insider Advantage, who does the interntal polling for the Repubs (and has donated thousands of $$$ to the republikans), apparently owns.

Did the DVDs come from that company? (btw, InsiderAdvantage polls are worthless pieces of shit, don't ever believe them when they're posted here. It's a firm the gOP hires)

19. Reported also in PA Patriot-News:
" Ross said Clarion, formed in 2007, is nonpartisan and focused on educating the public about the importance of national security. On Wednesday, though, there was an article on the group's new Web site, www.radicalislam.org, that backed Republican presidential candidate John McCain."

Heavily funded hate groups, looks like.
