McCain-Palin Crowd-Size Estimates Not Backed by Officials
maybe because they're liars
http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20601070&sid=a1J0tfV3XJYs&refer=politics

Senator John McCain has drawn some of the biggest crowds of his presidential campaign since adding Alaska Governor Sarah Palin to his ticket on Aug. 29. Now officials say they can't substantiate the figures McCain's aides are claiming.

McCain aide Kimmie Lipscomb told reporters on Sept. 10 that an outdoor rally in Fairfax City, Virginia, drew 23,000 people, attributing the crowd estimate to a fire marshal.

Fairfax City Fire Marshal Andrew Wilson said his office did not supply that number to the campaign and could not confirm it. Wilson, in an interview, said the fire department does not monitor attendance at outdoor events.

In recent days, journalists attending the rallies have been raising questions about the crowd estimates with the campaign. In a story on Sept. 11 about Palin's attraction for some Virginia women voters, Washington Post reporter Marc Fisher estimated the crowd to be 8,000, not the 23,000 cited by the campaign.

2. What's the diff? 8,000 - or 23,000? Picky, picky!
Either way, it sure as hell isn't 75,000.

5. That's actually unfair, I mean what's being off by 15,000 give or take
especially when Obama plans on taking away all of our guns within the next two years.

6. Why should we believe anything they say. They lie about Obama. They lie about policies. They
lie about what they would do. Everything they say is a lie.

8. Reminds me of the initial invasion of Iraq and the supposed huge crowd ....
of Iraqis toppling Saddam Husain's statue ...... 'tight shots' on tv of the so called 'crowd' .... then later on pictures surfaced showing the square practically empty. Perception, not reality is everything to these people .... weapons of mass deception.

10. The significance of this story isn't the crowd size lie itself.
It's that even relatively minor claims on the part of the McCain campaign are being scrutinized and fact-checked -- i.e., the narrative is taking hold that McCain, Palin & Co. are lying unless proved otherwise.

11. We need a video to the Thompson Twins' Lies, Lies, Lies
Don't you think?

The only problem is that the song isn't long enough to catalogue the McCain campaign's lies.

12. Thats why I started a thread claiming that the crowd size
at her "Homecoming" in Fairbanks was nowhere Near the 3000 they claimed.. Not to mention SHE even said that folks there would see a lot of unfamiliar faces in that crowd, to show them some friendliness, etc, because they had admitted that her plane was so Full of adoring fans that they'd had to kick some cargo Off..

In other words their campaign "bussed" in more bodies via her plane to swell the ranks!

I was watching intently since I lived in Fairbanks for 12 years and know a big crowd there when I see one.. I happen to know that most people there consider themselves to be Libertarians or Independants.. Which I could tell by the tight camera shots simply were not THERE.. The Rubber Stamp Republicans are few and they showed.

So between her bussed in gang and loyal Repigs her Welcome home party, which should have been HUGE - a small populace getting one of their own potentially IN the White House?

It means that her star power is Limited, really limited, and would explain why she was so scared to have to face "Churlie" Gibson, she Knows she's a Fraud.. There's nothing more frightening than for a Sociopathic Con Artist to be found out, the con would be over..

All the lies, winking, crinkling of her nose would be for naught :)

The Creep is Scared, let's keep her that way, especially of Truthful reporting like this..

SaraCudda being a small fish now in a Large pond means she's now part of the food chain instead :)

She's more like a shark to me.. All this talk of never "Blinking" seems to have been so burned into her brain that she, like a shark, literally doesn't Blink now :)

19. Isn't the exteme r/w about 25 or so percent of the country so
maybe all of them show up at an event I don't know, but there is no way this woman would attract a real Hillary voter. Most of the support would be from stepford type women that are easily led. An example I could think of would be the type of woman that lived in that compound that was raided a few months back. Woman who think for themselves would never be interested in supporting these wakos. Also, I am sick of people saying they are pro-life, they are pro- birth. If people are so pro-life why do people starve to death every day? That's the question I would ask if I was Obama.
