Kerry made me a believer
I started out on this road in the Anybody But Bush camp -- I was a card-carrying Libertarian in 2000. But over the course of this year, I have to say that John Kerry has made a believer out of me. I don't agree with everything that he stands for, but I think he is the best man for the job right now. I have put my faith in that man, and I have not looked back.

Because of that, and because of what I've seen this year, I believe that John Kerry will win this election by a large margin. I think that he will come out swinging just as soon as the RNC ends, and this time the gloves will be off. I think the that SwiftLiars will regret the day they uttered Kerry's name in front of a camera, and Bush will regret the day -- if there was one -- that he made the decision to run in the gutter.

You doom-and-gloom prophets, I have three things to say to you. First, where applicable, go back to your freeper-nest and spread your vile there. You're unwanted. Second, in the Information Age, nine weeks a long time in which things can be accomplished. And third, if Kerry can make a believer out of ME, then you might keep a little faith for him as well.

2. Your words lifted my spirits - thanks for posting them
I, for one, needed to hear that. A large margin would be a gift from heaven. If it happens as you predict, then indeed Kerry is the fighter he is reported to be.

3. Bravo!
I feel much the same.

And as this whole week is about the media celebrating the scummy liars that are threatening to end Democracy forever, a little faith and/or a cold drink are there to get you through.

4. Good essay, Chichiri...
I don't think there was a day that bush decided to run in the gutter, though..unfortunately he learned that at his mommy's knee.

5. Kerry will win this election!
My experience living in a predominantly "red state" region (Bush had a large margin here in 2000) convinces me that John Kerry holds broad appeal.

Of course, George W. Bush has been a very uniting factor for Democrats. Local Democratic meetings recently in this rural area have been quite well attended and enthusiastic, and * Bush deserves his fair share of the credit for inspiring this resurgence of Democratic unity.

But the more people learn about Senator Kerry, the better they like him. He speaks in multi-syllables, and this is refreshing after several long years of Bushisms. His character and genuine heroism attract many people, even those who might not have considered voting Democratic before. And increasingly, people here realize that since the world under the neocons has become such a dangerous place we really do need an intelligent and capable leader more than ever before.

Bush and the Republicans should be very worried. The Kerry/Edwards ticket is inspiring, optimistic and capable-- and voters see the differences between their vision for America and the miserable failures of the incumbent's maladministration.
