Why Are SWIFT BOAT ADS Playing On MSNBC???
I though they were only fucking playing in swing states!

I've never seen them on cable before!

Those bastards, those fucking bastards! Wall to wall gleaming coverage of the RNC with some Swift Boat Liars For Bush thrown in between! :grr:

1. You must live in a swing state
the ads are bought on cable locally. We're getting bombarded with the swiftboat lies today in Michigan. I think MSNBC and CNN have shown the ad.

6. Maybe they bought national cable time on the news channels?
The truth is the add they are running more is more damaging. They conveniently leave out Kerry's preface that he is relaying info that others say. But stupid voters are going to hear Kerry saying it, hear the media reporting the smear spin and buy into it.

13. I saw one too, in Atlanta
on CNN. The Kerry vietnam speech in all of its out of context glory. It seemed like it was five minutes long.

At first I thought it was part of the newscast because thats the only time I've ever seen them.

I felt sick.

11. They seem to have 2 more versions and are being played by
CNN and MSNBC as commercials during the convention. One is how hurt the boys were by Kerry testifying before congress and the other is Kerry throwing medals (how can we trust someone who had such disregard for our nation's symbols, blah, blah). You ask how they dare do this---it's called "capitalism"---they done paid for it. This isn't going to be battleground state ad any longer. You are going to see it even in the backwoods of Alaska on national tv. Gee, now if we only had something that attacked little Georgie in the same low down dirty way. But we are far, far above that, you know.....

12. They were on CNN here in Houston
this afternoon during Crossfire.

Didn't CNN refuse to air the Log Cabin ads because they were "too controversial"?

21. Perry Made A BIG Buy...
Hardly noticed here last week was a post that said that the money vermin behind the Slimeboaters were planning a 2 million dollar ad buy the week of the GOOP whorefest. This was to include buys on ALL the major cable channels...especially CNNservative & MSNBC. MoveOn also made a major buy (they still need to raise 3 million for the big POST convention blitz... www.moveonpac.org (give!!!!) that I've seen on cable as well.

It incenses me as much as anyone considering the lies it spews that have already been debunked (if this had been a real commercial, the FDA would have had it pulled off and fined heavily for misrepresentation) and how it demeans all Vietnam veterans and anyone who was injured in combat.

But then, why not let them play and play. Whatever damage is done...those looking for a reason not to like Kerry based on this issue got it (and Rove was gonna make sure they were gonna find one anyway...tried the "cut funds to our troops" lie first)...now I think it's having a reverse affect...pissing off those who find these ads as offensive as I do and get angrier every time it runs.

Honestly, folks, we'll look back at this time and see how the GOOP overplay its hands on a lot of fronts, and this one will be one we'll cite as the beginning of the end of this regime!
