At one point during the hospital battle, passions ran so hot that local antiabortion activists organized a boisterous picket line outside Dr. Lemagie's office, in an unassuming professional building across from Palmer's Little League field. According to Bess and another community activist, among the protesters trying to disrupt the physician's practice that day was Sarah Palin.

5. As if I didn't hate the mooseburger enough already,

this really takes the cake! I spent a good chunk of the 90's in Southern California on the opposite side of the fence. Literally the opposite side of the fence...defending abortion rights on the front lines. The anti-choice lunatics were among the lowest forms of humanity I've ever encountered. Vile, vicious, stupid, unfeeling louts. We would lock arms and form a barrier to prevent the creeps from physically harming women entering and leaving the clinics. The police and their horses were a welcome sight, although they were often a long time coming.

We, the good guys, often found our cars keyed or defaced at the end of the day. Sarah is one scary, unhinged lunatic. Oh, let me count the ways.

7. Yup, I was an escort at a clinic for a year.

Only lasted a year doing that particular job for the rape crisis center I volunteered at - the stress is pretty intense because those people are unbelievably crazy. CRAZY.

:hug: to you for your work. I can sooo relate to your image of the spitting, batshit, crazy nature of the protester on any given day.

While I've been very hostile to Sarah Palin's candidacy already, this particular factoid reveals a LOT about her....

Abortion rights activists have carried out more acts of domestic terrorism than any other group over the last two decades. People have a right to know if Palin is associated with groups that engage in terrorism.
