One thing about McCain...
his face is very expressive. he's obviously very upset about 'something'...my guesses are:

1. Bad news on the Palin front

2. Bad news on the internal poll front

3. Bad news on the melanoma front

4. All of the above

6. Perhaps
Perhaps Cindy is at risk of losing one of their seven, err ten, err twelve homes. Cause for concern for any ultra-millionaire heiress.

3. 5. Bad news on the "Fundamentals" front
That was an epic gaffe. McCain's pitiful defense that he meant the American workers are strong is ludicrous. Anybody can see through it. Also, it's doubly false since American workers are in a very bad position.

5. I think it's worse
When he came back out and "clarified" his comments, you could see him reading the whole thing from cue cards. He looked very flustered. This was an epic gaffe.

8. I think he is pissed off and disgusted with his whole campaign.
Has anybody else noticed that he doesn't really have a lot of FIRE when he parrots the attacks his campaign has been using? I think he really wants to be the Straight Talk guy. He has to hate the lying. I don't think he wanted to pander to his base by choosing a faux politician like Palin. You know he hates Rove and now has to be nice to him and use his tactics. He has sold his soul to the devil and I don't think he is very comfortable with it.
