13. I wonder where that comes from too. I've heard other Alaskans, and none sounds like that.
I've never heard an Idahoan sound like that either. Most of the Minnesotans I know (considerable numbers of people!) don't even sound like that.

I always had a little bit of the Minnesota accent, but not much. However, I can "do" the Sarah Palin accent. I have already managed to crack up my husband and a couple of friends with it. :D

yes it is German, but AFIK, there is no racial/derogatory undertones to it now. Thankfully the 3rd Reich is no longer alive and well in Germany, it seems to have moved to America. :shrug:

She lost, okay? Now, I 100% support Obama. That doesn't mean my proverbial scab hasn't totally healed (I know, gross!)
Can we just lay off the insults, because it is insulting to me!
