Explain This To Me: Bush's Biggest Failure (9/11) = VOTE FOR HIM???
I'm going to excerpt from my LTE yesterday, because I just don't get it:

REALITY: Bush Was Great on 9/11 EXCEPT Before, During, and After.

BEFORE: If George W. Bush had been doing his job as President of the United States prior to September 11, 2001, I don’t believe we would have HAD a “September 11” situation. Neither he nor his top advisor's met with “terrorism czar” Richard Clarke (who was instrumental in preventing attacks during the “millennium”) to discuss what practical steps were needed to prevent future attacks despite his repeated requests. Frantic warnings from our intelligence agencies were ignored in favor of a month long August vacation in 2001 – the longest, and most disastrous “presidential break” in the history of the United States. Terrorism was taken so seriously by this administration that substantial budget cuts to already over stretched departments involved in combating it were being proposed on September 10, 2001.

DURING: I have watched the television program “West Wing.” I have read books by Tom Clancy. I have seen the video of George W. Bush’s response to the words, “Our nation is under attack.” In those first seven minutes, he proved himself unworthy of the keys to our nuclear arsenal.

AFTER: When the entire world asked “Why? Why did they do this to us?” George W. Bush did the same thing he had always done – he took the quick and easy way out. “They hate our freedom,” he said, and for three years that answer has caused the world nothing but grief. We have entered into two wars, and thousands of people are dead, because of a simplistic, stupid, lazy, idiotic bit of jingoist nonsense AND NO ONE HAS A CLUE WHY "THE TERRORISTS" ACTUALLY ATTACKED US. Meanwhile, 95% of the containers coming into this country are still not being inspected, Osama bin Ladin has been on the loose for three years, and our soldiers are under attack in Iraq and Afghanistan!!!

Am I living in the Twilight Zone? Who turned this into lemonade? WHEN did we become safer -- did I miss the memo? Am I Losing My Mind???

1. So we can move from one disaster after another to a catastrophe
of unimaginable proportions, almost surely to follow as a consequence of his policies, pre-emptive war(s), other actions, be it economic or otherwise?

2. Oh! Got It! He's the Anti-Christ!
And we are in the middle of Armageddon, and everyone who is voting for him is mad because they are "Left Behind!" Thank you for clearing that up! :)

4. "No Excuses?"
So, the problem is the Democrats keep trying to figure stuff out, while the Republicans just do the "get on with it" stuff, making worse and worse decisions? I'll hit the library later and read the article...sigh. This is SO FRUSTRATING!!! (Maybe I should just stick to the "anti-Christ" answer....) :(

10. I wonder what the photographer told him...
...before snapping that photo.

"Okay Mr. President, let's roll... up your sleeves, haha... Now, if you could just try and give me a look that says 'stubborn resolve'... yes, good, that's it!" Snap

11. I called the Kerry Campaign...
and left a message. The DNC comment line only had a "2 second" space, so I don't think that helped much. I'll try dropping them an e-mail. Good job on that thread! I'm going to kick it because I think more people should be doing it! Yeah, you! :)
