Is anyone else flat out refusing to watch even 2 secs of the RNC?

For some reason I had really planned to watch a little but I just couldn't do. I'd rather have a root canal.

My family hasn't watched one second of it. We will turn the TV back on this weekend, probably by Sunday night.

Why watch something that will only make you angry, anxious, and stressed-out?

Fortunately I have digital cable so I can put the tv on Classical music all day. I couldn't look at Nixon, I couldn't look at Reagan, I couldn't look at Bush I and I can't look at Bush II. Revolting. Lies. Garbage. Fakery. And nasty words my mother wouldn't like for me to say.

to my regular talk shows. I download the Al Franken show and listen to it on my iPod at work. I also download Democracy Now and Flashpoints and listen to them.

As if that isn't enough I take my laptop to work and listen to movies on DVD.

I cannot watch the parade of lies because I will stroke out.

It's been better on my:

--Blood pressure;

--Spleen;

--Liver;

--Gall Bladder;

--Pancreas;

--Heart, and...

--Large intestine.

In short, diliberately missing their propaganda week is LOADS better for my health...and my wife's, too!:D

Just what's commented on only here or on the news. This Madison Avenue commercial, which is for an empty jar of a product isn't going to enlighten anybody about what they really are up to. It's the Purple Heart BandAids and the things that are happening around the convention that tell what the Republicans are really about. You don't need to watch the stage show for that.

I'm just a stamp short of going postal as it is. I am getting my coverage snippet by snippet on DU. That, interspersed with protest reports from indymedia and AAR is the only way I'll keep the contents in my stomach.

so I watched about a minute of their spectacle at the WP on-line. :wtf:

figuring, 'how bad can it be?', and without fail I only last for roughly 20 seconds before feeling ill and having to quickly turn the channel.

Frankly I just can't stand to look at that many arrogant fucks gathered in one place, let alone listen to what they have to say.

I heard one line this morning on TV from a speech bush gave at a rally yesterday and started yelling at the TV "liar, liar, liar, liar." There's no way I could watch the RNC.

I have considered tuning in Thursday night when * speaks. I wanted to hear what he has to say for himself. I haven't decided yet. I hate to look at his face and even worse, to hear that phoney twang. I probably will pass and just read about it here. Spare my family of all the yelling and cursing.

On the first day I watched the part where people were coming in and going to their designated areas, I endured through the prayer, song, and pledge, then muted the television. I haven't watched any of that pathetic crap since then.

I hear a few clips on AAR, that's it! I am boycotting CNN and at least for this week MSNBC has turned right again. The only TV news I watch is CSpan WJ, this week. Yesterday I even turned that way down - all GOP spin..

I refuse to waste my "beautiful mind" on them.

Haven't watched it. Won't. I figure I'll hear if anything important happens. In the meantime, if I want to be lied to I'll go look in the mirror and tell myself I'm a millionaire.
