Pregnant Women Against Bush
I signed up about 10 new dem voters at a local home for poor women having difficult pregnancies last night.

One of them said, ‘It’s Bush’s fault my baby can’t get circumcised!” I am thinking, huh? Bush came out against circumcision? But apparently, he cut the health program that provides it to poor women. So one less vote for bush, lol.

2. Way to go wildeyed!
I've been chuckling at the morning news coverage the last few days, with the commentators talking about how arnold and Laura were used yesterday to bring more women into the fold.

Here I'm thinking...yeah THAT'LL happen.

Most sensible women that aren't blinded by the rapture aren't voting for the trouser stain BECAUSE WE'D LIKE CONTROL OF OUR OWN BODIES, thank you very much!

I congratulate you on your 10 voter coup!

I'm working at a Planned Parenthood clinic on Saturday doing the same thing. I can't discuss which candidates are and aren't pro-choice, but the action arm of PP will follow up with them and let them know who is.

Let's go ladies!

4. This was a non-partisan event, too.
But it was a small group and after I did my bit about the importance of voting, the home facilitator asked about people's individual views. Almost all the women hate bush and want the Iraqi war to end.

When I mentioned to the group, if you don't vote, you can't complain, that really seemed to get the attention, more than my spiel about civic duty, anyway.
